FAQ

I get asked LOTS of questions when I tell people I am a boudoir photographer. Everyone is intrigued by the idea of having photos taken JUST. FOR. THEM. Photos that make them feel awesome during AND after their photo session. A day of pampering and being treated like the supermodel that they truly are.

So, here are the most common questions, and their answers!

I want to, but I'm really nervous. Is that normal?

It is definitely normal to be nervous for your boudoir session, so don't worry. Most of our clients are nervous until the session has gone on for a few minutes. After it starts, you’ll begin to loosen up.

I wouldn't know how to pose to look sexy, how can I have those photos taken??

Don’t worry about posing. We've totally got you covered in that department. We know all the tricks to create the most flattering angles for you, no matter what shape or size you are. We will coach you from your fingertips through to your pointed toes, AND we will have a good giggle while we are doing it!

I'm awful at makeup, I couldn't afford photos AND my hair and makeup!

We offer packages with complimentary hair and makeup, because I am an accredited hair and makeup artist with a kit that suits all skin types and tones. See our gallery of before and after photos here.

Am I allowed to bring alcohol to help loosen my nerves?

Our sessions include a complimentary bottle of ice cold bubbly, along with a gourmet grazing platter - you won't need to supply ANYTHING in the way of refreshments.

Do you provide the wardrobe?

We DO have a limited and basic studio wardrobe, but to make your photos more personal, we suggest you use items that you own, or go shopping for something special. If you need help choosing an outfit, we can definitely give you some suggestions, though, and on booking, we send a link to our guide to lingerie to help you choose something PERFECT.

I want share these pictures with my partner, but I don't want loose prints floating around. Any ideas for the best gift?

This is a very common concern and we totally understand. We recommend placing an order for our little black book. This is much more discreet and will keep all of your images in one place and not floating around. We also offer gift boxes and wall art as well as phone apps. For more information on these products, just ask.

What should I bring to my boudoir session?

For our sessions, we suggest two to three different outfits and any props you may want to incorporate. Need help choosing props, our guide to lingerie has some great ideas.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, you can bring a friend if you think it will help you relax. However, sometimes an extra set of eyes has the opposite effect, even if it is a friend. They are more than welcome to come, but if they are making you uncomfortable, they may have to wait outside the area we are photographing in.

Will my session be with a male or female photographer?

Carol is our only boudoir photographer, and she's our hair and makeup artist, so you will only have her for your entire session.

Do you do retouching

Yes, we will lightlysmooth skin and do some basic retouching on all of your portraits. We talk to you about anything permanent like scars or stretch marks before we start your session and take note of your wishes.

I’m not a model – are boudoir photos still flattering even if my body isn’t perfect?

Absolutely! Every woman is perfect and every woman is beautiful and sexy. If you have any specific concerns, contact us and we can talk about it!

Do you do outdoor boudoir sessions?

We currently do not have our own outdoor location to do this, but if you have some private land, let us know and we’ll set something up. We do offer outdoor boudoir sessions, but only if they take place on your private property. It also has to be in a secluded area, so nobody can see us during the session. We do this to protect your privacy and our company.

Do I have control over who sees my images?

Yes, most certainly. We will only share photos if you have given us permission and have approved the images for sharing. We respect your wishes and won't post or share any images if you’d prefer they stay private. Many of our clients choose to have 'anonymous' images used on our website and in our advertising material, it gives them a thrill to know they are a model that inspires other women.
