Rebecca and Eric are one of those couples who just fit. From the very beginning, they chose each other — through the beautiful chaos of growing a family, evolving careers, and all the everyday moments that quietly build a life. Their love never needed proving… but it absolutely deserved celebrating.
When it came time to make things official, they did it their way.
Eric arrived for their first look in a labour of love — a meticulously restored 1967 Volkswagen Beetle that once belonged to his parents. He’d spent months bringing it back to life, and the grin on his face as he rolled into the alley was every bit as polished as the chrome bumper bar. It was heartfelt, meaningful, and unmistakably them.
They chose The Altar Electric in Abbotsford — a pink, Vegas-inspired chapel that throws tradition out the window and replaces it with colour, personality, and unapologetic fun. Champagne flowed before the ceremony. Bright coloured outfits, hand picked poppies from the garden, and they walked down the street and straight into the shopfront chapel. Their colour palette was gloriously bold, and the cake was topped with their favourite King and Queen of Hearts playing cards — a perfect symbol of partnership and play.
Their first dance was a jive (because of course it was), they had the most colourful confetti everthe speeches were packed with in-jokes and laughter and made under disco lights, and the party showed no signs of slowing down. Eventually, the Beetle made its return, calling them toward their honeymoon as guests — and curious passersby — cheered them on into the night.
Black and White FILM
Shot on 35mm film, these images lean into texture, contrast, and timeless emotion. We’re lifelong film lovers, and for Rebecca and Eric, black and white felt right — classic, intentional, and perfectly aligned with their bold-but-everlasting style.
