Bridal boudoir with a twist
Bridal boudoir is one of my absolute favourite sessions to photograph. Brides arrive excited for their wedding day and imagining their partner’s reaction to the images — but they leave with something even better: a deeper confidence, and the realisation that they are already amazing, exactly as they are.
From the moment Lanie suggested our pre-session meeting at Eat Cannoli in Preston, I knew we’d get along like a house on fire. She wanted the best of both worlds — the soft romance of white lingerie and a veil, and the moody, sensual portraits that reflect her inner strength and desire.
Her favourite images proudly showed off her insulin pump that simply doesn't detract from her beauty, in fact it adds a level of depth and determination. This is a woman that lives life on her terms, and when we pulled out the giant feather wings, we decided to get out of the sweet innocent white and photograph them in bold black for the added impact.
