A High School Love Story
Some love stories just feel like home.
Isabella and Keirans is one of them.
High school sweethearts will always have a special place in our hearts — we meet so many couples like this, and it never gets old. There’s something incredibly grounding about a love that grows up alongside you, that stretches and bends through time, distance, and change… and still chooses yes.
Even when Isabella moved half a continent away, these two stayed connected. They kept showing up for each other, until one magical moment when Isabella decided it was time to come back to Keiran. From there, love bloomed quickly — sealed, of course, with the ultimate commitment… a puppy (hello, Kip!)
Once Keiran proposed, wedding planning kicked off straight away, and with the beautiful Cannibal Creek Vineyard just nearby — and a friendship with the wonderful owners — the choice of venue was an easy one. Rolling vines, and that unmistakable Gippsland charm set the scene perfectly. No one cared about the grey skies that threatened rain (and tried several times), because Isabella and Keiran were getting married!
This wedding was overflowing with heartfelt, meaningful details.
A first look with parents (one of our absolute favourite moments to photograph — always full of emotion). And then… the flowers. Not just any flowers, but hand-crocheted blooms made by Isabella’s incredibly talented sister-in-law. As someone who’s been crocheting for years, I can honestly say I’ve never even attempted flowers — these were next-level and such a beautiful, personal touch.
The ceremony itself was emotional in the best possible way. Happy tears everywhere, deep breaths, and that quiet sense of this is it. Afterward, Isabella and Keiran snuck away with their wedding party into the newly sprouting vines to enjoy a glass of bubbly — one of those slow, grounding pauses we always encourage — before heading into the reception.
And what an entrance.
A champagne tower waiting to be filled (always exciting to watch and such a great tone-setter), followed almost immediately by the cutting of a gorgeous — and very tasty — cake. Then came the surprise: a slideshow packed with fun, slightly embarrassing moments from their lives together, paired with incredible stories and a spontaneous dance-along that had everyone laughing and fully in the moment.
