Love always finds a way—and for Amy and Narelle, that way involved a pandemic postponement, a few detours, and finally, the most glorious summer’s day to say “I do.”
These two wonderful women made a weekend of it with their nearest and dearest by booking out Yering Gorge Cottages. It was the perfect way to slow down and savour the start of something beautiful. Surrounded by gum trees, birdsong, and the occasional curious kangaroo, they were able to enjoy a relaxed morning of laughter, first looks with family, and the joyful anticipation of what was to come.
Choosing elegant vintage limousines for their arrival, Amy and Narelle made their way to Vines of the Yarra Valley, where their ceremony unfolded under warm skies and even warmer smiles. Walking in from opposite sides of the aisle with their parents, they met in the middle and stepped forward together—a powerful symbol of equality and partnership that moved many to tears.
Their ceremony was everything a celebration of love should be: heartfelt readings, personal vows, and touching tributes to those who couldn’t be there in person. And when it came time to sign the official documents? These two literally leaned on one another—signing on each other's backs and sealing their union with a laugh. The joy was infectious.
As the evening rolled in, it was time to cut the cake, raise a glass, and fill the dance floor. Their first dance, set to the timeless voice of Etta James, kicked off a night of celebration that had the whole room buzzing with love and energy.
