A Summer Gippsland Wedding
Remember Ayush and Nandini’s dreamy engagement photos on their stunning Gippsland property? Well, this time we had the honour of capturing their wedding day—and what a celebration it was!
January weddings in Victoria are known for their sunshine, and this one was no exception. Luckily, Ayush and Nandini were well-prepared with tents, umbrellas, cold drinks, and even a six-wheel ATV to help everyone travel between their ceremony and not one, but two reception spaces.
Nandini was breathtaking in her vintage-inspired gown, complete with timeless hair and makeup that perfectly suited her style. Her bridesmaids glowed in shades of sea green, a perfect complement to the golden tones of the groomsmen’s attire. Ayush looked every bit the modern groom in a crisp linen suit and white cotton shirt, with jewelled sunglasses adding just the right touch of flair.
Before the ceremony, they shared a first look (with their puppy, of course!) in the barbecue area Ayush had designed and built himself. His hard work completely transformed the property, proving that his creativity extends far beyond his Spare Thoughts Landscaping business. It was the perfect stage for such an emotional and intimate moment.
Down by the willow tree beside the creek, Nandini created a space filled with magic. From candle lamps to cut glass ornaments and fairy towers carefully stacked by her father, every detail felt deeply personal and spiritual.
The ceremony itself was a true reflection of their love and cultural heritage. With blessings from parents and friends, the exchange of rings, and the traditional Varmala garlands, their vows blended modern romance with Hindu tradition. Their puppy’s enthusiastic approval made the moment even sweeter.
As they led their guests back up the hill, laughter and cheering echoed across the property—marking not just a wedding, but a joyful community celebration.
The first reception featured cool drinks, hay bale seating, tasty Chaat, and even henna tattoos for guests to enjoy. Ayush’s uncle proudly chauffeured guests in the ATV—though the bridesmaids may have also had a little fun behind the wheel!
Closer to sun set, the party shifted to the top of the hill where another Ayush creation, a handmade stage hosted a lively local band. Nandini stole the spotlight during the champagne spray race, winning with absolute joy and laughter, before everyone gathered for a night of dancing under the stars.
Ayush and Nandini’s day was the perfect example of what we love most about multicultural weddings in Victoria—the blend of tradition, modern flair, and genuine love. From a handpicked magnolia bloom to spontaneous cheering during the vows, every moment was filled with authentic emotion.
