Pagan Goddess Session Celebrating Womanhood, and Wild Magic
Ever since I first saw how magical my peacock chair looked among the towering redwoods at Jacki and Xavier’s wedding, I knew I had to return and create something even more powerful. This time, I envisioned something darker, wilder, and more attuned to the mystical side of the Pagan community that means so much to me.
When my closest friend, Kat, mentioned that she wanted a shoot in a raw, natural setting—so different from her anniversary session—the vision started coming together. And because my VIPs are the heart of Curves and Lace, I put the word out for anyone who wanted to join a very special Forest Goddess session. I was beyond thrilled when Jade and Natalie said yes. Not only are these three women clients, but they’re also dear friends—and together, they became something extraordinary.
We packed the truck to the brim with props, fabrics, wings, and trinkets, and set off early to beat the crowds. What followed was pure magic.
- Jade transformed into the Mother, her incredible makeup and earthy styling enhanced by a few of my studio treasures. She looked like she had stepped straight out of the forest itself.
- Natalie embodied the Maiden, her outfit taking flight (literally) with the addition of our black wings—radiant, playful, and strong.
- And Kat, my soul-sister and dear friend, became the ultimate Crone. In flowing white she was ethereal and luminous, and in her black-and-red ensemble she was wisdom, power, and fire incarnate.
Together, these three women created a living embodiment of the triple goddess—Maiden, Mother, and Crone—symbols of life’s cycles that resonate so deeply within Pagan traditions. We danced, laughed, and celebrated womanhood in all its forms, attracting more than a few admiring glances from passersby.
When we were finally done, we wandered back into town, glowing from the experience, and ended the day with a meal that felt more like a feast. And yes, a little Photoshop artistry came into play later—can you guess which parts are real and which were enhanced?
This wasn’t just a photoshoot. It was a celebration of community, of friendship, of sacred feminine energy, and of the beauty that happens when women come together to create magic.
At Curves and Lace Photography, we love working with the Pagan community and anyone who feels called to celebrate their truest self. Whether you dream of a Forest Goddess session, a fantasy-inspired shoot, or a deeply spiritual wedding, we’re here to honour your vision.
