Some love stories feel like they were written in the stars, and Jade and Lachlan’s wedding was one of those rare days where every moment felt soaked in love, laughter, and deep, unwavering connection.
Jade and Lachlan are the kind of couple who finish each other’s sentences, who light up when they look at each other, who just know. Their proposal story still makes us melt—while cuddled up watching a documentary on penguins (the ultimate monogamous animals), Jade looked over and asked, “Do you want to be my penguin?” Lachlan didn’t miss a beat: “Absolutely always forever.”
They’ve already built a beautiful life together—three incredible kids, a cozy home full of love and laughter—and now it was time to make it official. When Jade, who also happens to be our first ever Brand Ambassador (yes, we adore her), chose Kylie from Side by Side Ceremonies to lead their vows, we knew the day was going to be extraordinary.

From the moment we arrived at her mum’s house, the energy was joyfully electric. Her daughter’s giggles echoed through the rooms, I was thrilled to see beautiful sage and dusty blue bouquets from The Styled Bouquet waiting to be walked down the aisle, her sweet dog greeted us with a tail wag, and the whole morning was filled with warmth and excitement. And then—those cars! Two gleaming 70s muscle cars that had this revhead photographer grinning from ear to ear. (I only drooled a little.)
Then it was off to the campground venue where the guys were getting ready, and it took a tribe to wrangle those two little boys into suits! Jade had thought of everything, even a surprise box for Lachlan with a letter telling him how much he meant to her, we had to put the camera down after a few minutes and just let him read.
Jade’s first look with her bridesmaids was enough to bring tears to our eyes. Emotional, heartfelt, and full of support—it was exactly how every bride deserves to feel. Even the wild Victorian weather couldn’t dull the magic. We wrapped Jade in one of our signature fluffy white jackets (always packed, just in case!) and set up a second first look, this time with the groomsmen and her boys. The love and pride in their eyes said everything.
Jade and Lachlan made sure every part of the day reflected them. It wasn’t stuffy or traditional—it was playful, heartfelt, and totally unique. The groomsmen doubled as cheeky beer fairies, and the kids had a blast with the bubble guns we brought along (we love adding a little extra magic where we can). White umbrellas came out just in time for the rain, because in Victoria, spontaneity is part of the plan!
After the most beautiful first dance and a round of hilarious, tear-jerking speeches, the party kicked off into full country shindig mode. Laughter, dancing, hugs, and so much love carried us through the night.
