weddings are personal
You know what makes the perfect wedding?? When you, as the couple getting married, make sure that everything you plan is personal to you. From the location, to the ceremony wording, to your favourite people and favourite colours. Codie and Indiana created the perfect wedding for them, and the weather just didn't matter!
I first chatted to Codie on the phone while he was fishing just down from their ceremony location, after chatting about fishing (something I LOVE), taking a break while he landed a nice yellow belly perch for dinner and then discussing ways to cook his fine catch, we finally got around to chatting about his wedding plans, which were simple "Whatever makes Indi happy,, I would do anything for her" Be still my heart!!
an amazing road trip
With a ceremony location called "The Island" Chris and I were intrigued when we headed off in Jess, his RED Mazda RX7. Jess LOVES being driven on long windy country roads, so this trip was a delight for her, and for us. We were a little concerned about the weather, but the cloudy skies promised beautiful soft light, so we simply put our worries to one side and concentrated on creating the best memories of every moment, and re-assuring Indi that her wedding day would be awesome, no matter what the weather.
Indi had chosen to have a first look with her parents, this is a beautiful way to capture the emotions of your family, and we highly recommend it, in fact, we work with you to make sure that it's absolutely perfect, selecting the best location and time and coaching everyone to get wonderful photos.
The threatening rain couldn't make a decision before the ceremony, it came, it went, it brightened up, it rained again, but as soon as Indi's car pulled up, the rain pulled back into the overhead clouds and the beautiful ceremony went ahead, with lots of happy tears and even more loving smiles and hugs. You are probably all wondering about the red bucket hat that Indiana's father wore as he walked her down the aisle, it's an in joke, I'm not privy to it, but it sure made everyone smile knowingly!
