Contemporary and elegant, with a wicked smirk.

This is a session that I have been sitting on for a few weeks now, and it’s been agonising!

Ms B is a close friend, she started as one of the models for my exhibition series “In my Skin” and I was so thrilled with her natural grace and elegance, that I jumped at the chance to have her in my home studio for a portrait session. These images were a little more mainstream, as they were to be Xmas gifts to her parents – no pressure Carol!

Exquisite taste in clothing is Ms B’s trademark, and she didn’t disappoint this time either, choosing a beautiful Mr K gold satin top from the studio wardrobe and combining it with her own skirt, and then a sheer lace top, also from the studio wardrobe which set off her hair perfectly. Beautiful stiletto heels from the studio wardrobe and the studio was really starting to heat up.

As we have worked together before, I was comfortable doing her makeup myself, and we decided on a style that was a toned down version of our studio glamour look.

Once we started shooting, Ms B had a lot of input with some favourite poses she had admired, so we decided that along with more traditional images for her parents, we would also have some fun with images just for her.
