Spring at Tambo Farm always brings something magical, and Christine and Patrick’s wedding was no exception. From the very first moment, their day was filled with elegance, laughter, and so much love. Christine’s radiant smile never left her face, and Patrick couldn’t stop gazing at his soulmate—it’s safe to say these two are a perfect match. For us at Side by Side Weddings, working at this beautiful farm feels like family, and this day reminded us why.
Of course, spring can also be capricious, particularly in Victoria, and this day brought all four seasons! A sunny morning gave way to gale force winds with rain and hail, then more sunshine, then more rain, and always more wind. Nothing took the smile of Christine's face though, because it was her wedding day.
One of the best things about Tambo Farm is the gorgeous barn BnB, which offers a warm and welcoming place to prepare for the big day. With spring showers rolling through, it became the perfect spot for not only getting ready, but also sharing a heartfelt first look and capturing all of the family portraits.
The cozy lounge meant everyone stayed comfortable—including elderly family members—while still giving us the chance to capture joyful, candid moments. And the best part? With the formal portraits taken care of early, there was even more time for family and friends connection and fun after the ceremony.
When the weather called for flexibility, the Tambo Farm team worked their magic and moved the ceremony indoors.
The rustic space was so perfectly styled it felt as though it had always been meant for “I do’s.” Surrounded by family and friends, Christine and Patrick exchanged vows filled with laughter, love, and happy tears. And yes—you absolutely can throw confetti indoors, which only added to the fun!
Between showers, we stole a few moments outside in the fresh spring air for portraits bathed in soft natural light, creating timeless memories of the two of them together.
The reception was everything a country wedding should be—warm, lively, and full of heartfelt speeches from parents and best friends. Christine and Patrick’s wedding cake was a showstopper, with the sweetest surprise: a little edible puppy peeking out, reminding everyone of their furry friend’s approval. After the cake was cut and the glasses were raised, it was time for the dance floor to come alive. The room pulsed with energy as Christine and Patrick led the way, kicking off a celebration that carried joy well into the night.
