Hello!

I've got another glorious wedding for you guys today! The adorable couple consists of Carla and Troy, two people that anyone would love to know.

These two soulmates met through a mutual friend, and after a LOT of planning Troy popped the question in Queensland while walking along the beach in Surfers Paradise on a birthday getaway. HOW perfect is that!!!

Their wedding day was truly breathtaking with Strath Creek Lookout near Broadford as their ceremony location, the view was just epic! The clear blue skies of mid summer just topped it all off!

The bride's dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I'm not just saying that! Carla chose her dress from Addison Rose in Avondale heights. As soon as she tried it on, she KNEW it was the one, and all her plans to try on several dresses went out the window. Carla's bridesmaids gowns by Jadore also came from Addison rose, a true one stop shop if you are still looking.

We had a lot of fun taking their wedding pictures, stepping in to help them when their chosen photographer went bankrupt and left them in the lurch at short notice.

They decided to not see each other until Carla was walking down the aisle. The emotion that Chris captured from Troy was truly priceless! He knew she had arrived when her vintage red dodge truck pulled up, that gorgeous beast NEVER hides! Carla says that the effort of staying apart the night before was so worth it because it made the morning and getting ready so much more exciting to know that the next time they saw each other she that they would be becoming husband and wife.

After the ceremony and some beautiful family photos, everyone escaped the heat at the lovely Broadford Hall, local to where they have made their home. They danced to their first song , a joint favourite, Hero by Enrique Inglesias, and Van Yt provided incredible music for the rest of the evening as well. The fabulous food was provided by JBL Catering, another local company, and the roast meat selection was an absolute favourite.

When it comes to photography advice, Carla recommends that you pick someone who makes YOU feel comfortable as they will be with you all day. Someone who understands budgets and will work with you, instead of cookie cutter packages is a bonus. Her quote is "My advice when picking a photographer obviously pick Carol cause she is amazing! She made me feel so relaxed and knew just what I wanted" That just makes my heart sing, thank you Carla and Troy!

Their entire bridal party was an absolute joy to work with, and I know that they were both thrilled with their choice of Maid of Honour and Best Man, they advise that. you pick people you know you can REALLY count on, and don't be afraid to ask them for help.

Of course, no wedding day is PERFECT, and the one thing that was forgotten this time was an emergency bag of makeup/safety pins/blister pads etc. Fortunately, we carry just such a bag, we call it our 'Oh Shit! Kit'.

If you are still planning your day, their best advice is not to sweat the small stuff, ask yourself if you remember that particular thing from the last wedding you went to, and if you don't, it's not important. Also, remember, nothing EVER goes to plan, and stuff arises, but all that matters is you get to marry the love of your life.

And now, onto MORE pictures!
