WE have amazing friends
I've recently partnered with the most incredible marriage celebrant to create an elopement service that's affordable and beautiful. You can see the details at Side by Side Elopements. Kylie and I both truly believe that you should be able to have a meaningful wedding ceremony with beautiful memories and no stress.
Of course, to get a new venture off the ground you need images, particularly in these days of social media. We both LOVE alternative and same sex weddings, so we came up with the idea of a goth wedding at a high tea venue in Hawthorn that was also looking to break into the wedding market.
A wedding needs people, so I put a call out in my VIP group, and an incredible bunch of people volunteered to spend the day with us and have fun!
a change of venue
After the incredible Amanda from Vamped Makeup (who now specialises in movie special effects) and I had finished making the brides and their guests look amazing, then dressing them in the outfits Kylie and I had put together, including a stunning vintage lace dress that a dear friend gifted me (and I Promptly dyed BLACK), we headed to the venue, only to find that the owner had gotten the date wrong and we couldn't use it. BUT, necessity is the mother of invention, and I had previously scouted some photo locations nearby, we set up in a local park, much to the delight of the locals relaxing and enjoying the spring afternoon sunshine.
it's all about the cake
Of course, even a styled wedding shoot needs cake! And to match such a stunning wedding, we turned to our friend Lynda of Bon Appe Sweet in South Morang, and let her creative side run wild, I think you will agree, that the cake she created is perfect! It's elegant, stylish and best of all, it tasted AMAZING!
Keep an eye out on the blog for the REAL elopements and intimate weddings that happen after this, and maybe we'll have time for another fun styled shoot too. If you want to 'just get hitched' hit the contact us button and get in touch!
