Some gifts are beautiful, others are unforgettable. Melanie wanted her soon-to-be husband to have both. Encouraged by friends, she decided to surprise him with a bridal boudoir album – something deeply personal and full of love.
She came to me after hearing that I specialise in working with women who feel nervous or awkward in front of the camera. My job? To make her feel comfortable, confident, and radiant. I organised everything – a fabulous hair and makeup artist, some gorgeous white lingerie from our client wardrobe (since she hadn’t yet chosen her wedding night goodies), and our boudoir hints and tips guide so she’d know exactly what to expect.
When she arrived, her excitement was infectious. My hair and makeup artist had already told her how much fun she’d have, and it was clear her nerves had melted to a soft hum in the background. Together, we chose dreamy white outfits and picked her favourite spots in the studio. Then she surprised me – slipping in a bold, fiery-red piece for one of her poses. From this quiet young lady, it was a thrilling twist that brought out a whole new side of her personality.
One of my favourite choices she made was to include black and white images in her final album. While it softened the vibrancy of her gorgeous red hair, it elevated the artistry – highlighting her curves, her confidence, and the intimacy of the moment.
