I've blogged previously about meeting amazing people at weddings, and Lisa was one of these, when I first saw her in her AMAZING apricot outfit at Sabrina's Avalon Castle wedding, (you can see a picture of her in the bouquet toss in the galleries), I KNEW I wanted to photograph her again and again and again.
And for once, the Universe loved me! I photographed Lisa on her own a few times, then I photographed her and Andrew as a couple, and as soon as I saw her and Andrew together, I KNEW they were soulmates, destined to spend their lives together. SO, it was no surprise when I was contacted to photograph their proposal and engagement.
And it all went to plan
Starting as an 'outside' version of our earlier studio couples session, I asked them to turn away from each other, cover their eyes, and turn around and pull silly faces when I counted them down. That was Andrew's cue to get the ring box out of his pocket (yes, he fumbled it because he was nervous) and get down on one knee.
Lisa's gasp of joy and surprise as she turned around could be heard all over the beautiful Wilson Botanical Gardens in Berwick, and as a keen amateur actor and singer, she decided to ham it up a little before shouting YES!!
Chris and I can't wait for their wedding next September at one of our favourite venues, Chateau Wyuna, in Mt Evelyn
