By now, I am sure you are sick of hearing about how much I hate this pandemic. Not for myself, but for the wonderful couples who have had their plans and dreams messed around with.

Unfortunately, it's not over yet. Josie and Glen would have to be one of the sweetest couples I have ever been privileged to work with. But the pandemic ruined their winter wonderland wedding dream, FOUR times. My heart broke when their fourth attempt was ruined less than 48 hours beforehand.

So, they eloped. Just themselves and their two witnesses. No big party, no cake, no gorgeous dress and handsome suit. Who can blame them. But of course, they wanted to celebrate when they could, and what better time than winter, which is their favourite season.

Chris and I were thrilled to be able to give them some beautiful memories, and I was so happy to be able to use my hair and makeup skills to keep Josie's exposure to strangers to a minimum.

Thank you Savoy

Many of Josie and Glen's original suppliers weren't a part of their new day, with vastly reduced numbers due to border closures, no need for a limousine service, and many others, we were thrilled to hear that the Savoy on Little Collins had come to the party and transferred their reception to a family banquet with a suite for them to spend the night.

The gorgeous art deco boutique hotel was perfect for this tradition loving couple, and the staff really went all out to make sure their experience and their memories were amazing, giving us access to spaces not normally available, and making sure everyone was well looked after. Service really is important at this hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
