Some stories remind us that love doesn’t always follow a straight line — and sometimes, that makes it all the more powerful.
Jason left China years ago to build a life in Australia, and he did just that — with quiet strength and determination. When serious illness changed everything, he reached out to Anna, his ex-wife and lifelong friend. Despite the years and distance, Anna didn’t hesitate. She emigrated to care for him, and the first thing they did together was marry again.
With help from our dear friend Carmel at Pink Ceremonies, Jason and Anna exchanged vows in Carmel’s private backyard chapel, surrounded by their closest friends — just the two of them, two witnesses, and me, there to preserve the love that filled our hearts.
That evening, we joined Jason’s church community for dinner at his favourite restaurant. As blessings were spoken and hands were held, it became clear — this is the kind of love that transcends time, trials, and circumstance.
