You really are ART.
I know you’ve seen a few of these balloon goddess sessions floating around by now (pun absolutely intended)—but honestly? They’re just so much fun. There’s something truly magical about dressing up in gowns that are extra in the best way, embracing the wind in your hair, and having a whole day dedicated to celebrating YOU.
This time, I got to photograph the brilliant Jade—long-time friend, client, and my go-to hair magician. When I posted a teaser of this stunning Vera Wang gown in my VIP group (and yes, if you’re not in there yet, you’re absolutely missing out—join here), she called dibs so loudly, I think the whole internet paused for a second.es.
We paired the bold romance of the dress with the deep blues and yellow sandstone cliffs of Melbourne’s Black Rock Beach. It was breezy, it was beautiful, and it was perfect. I did Jade’s makeup before we left, and of course, she styled her own hair to goddess-level perfection (seriously, go check out her work at Hair by Jade). A huge bouquet of balloons came along for the ride, and while the wind nearly carried them—and Jade—off to Tasmania, we wrangled the moment into pure magic.
After we’d captured every last gorgeous shot and our creative energy gave way to hungry bellies, we popped the balloons in the car park (apologies to the startled yachties!) and made our way to Our Little Ray of Sunshine Cafe in Sandringham for toasties that honestly deserve their own blog post.
