Today we continue the list of seriously amazing songs for your wedding that you might never have thought of.

The links lead to youtube, but you could easily put together a spotify list as well.

Today, the vast majority of people don’t get married in a church. So far, I have only photographed three wedding in 7 years. This means that the traditional religious organ music that our parents and grandparents used doesn’t really suit most of us. Many people choose contemporary songs that remind them of a special moment with their partner, or one where the words speak to their heart. With that in mind, I have put together a starting list that would suit a modern bride’s walk down the aisle, whether you be on the arm of your father, both parents, one of your children, a sibling or even if you are walking down the aisle together with your fiance.

My own wedding, 30 years ago, I walked down the aisle in a church to Pachelbel’s Canon in D – it’s a beautiful piece of music that has many variations, and has been a wedding favourite for many years. You can find a stunning version here. My sister was married in a cathedral and had the Ave Maria, a truly beautiful piece of music for a church wedding.

Warning – this list MAY make you remember last wedding you went to, so maybe grab a box of tissues for the happy tears.
